Once in a generation, the core architecture of one of the most complicated and challenging machines to design and manufacture receives a significant update, thus, creating a new era in jet engine performance and efficiency.

This new era was ushered in by the Pearl 15 jet engine, reaffirming Rolls-Royce as the leading manufacturer of business aviation engines. The Pearl 15 marks the inception of a new family of highly efficient business aviation jet engines known as the Pearl family.

Challenge.

The launch of this new engine, the Pearl 15, and the Pearl Family represented a monumental milestone in the advancement of jet engine efficiency, solidifying Rolls-Royce’s position as the leader in business aviation. Rolls-Royce faced the task of promoting this new engine and family, along with the advantages they bring to the market. This effort aimed not only to support Bombardier, the airframe manufacturer, whose brand-new Global 5500 and Global 6500 aircraft are powered by the Pearl 15 but also to highlight the industry-defining capabilities that a new generation of jet engines would bring to the future of business aviation.

We created a vast library of compelling content for Rolls-Royce, suitable for all channels, setting this new engine family apart from anything that preceded it and reaffirming Rolls-Royce’s status as a world leader in engineering excellence.

Solution.

The launch of this new engine necessitated a flagship asset that could be repurposed across all media platforms and for various events. We developed a CGI animation, consistent with the style and theme we had previously established for other Rolls-Royce jet engines. This animation style elevated the way Rolls-Royce presents its products, and the animation for the Pearl 15 took this standard even higher.

We were also privileged to attend the launch event hosted by Bombardier in Geneva, just before the EBACE airshow. During the event, our assignment was to capture assets through photography, videography, and expert interviews, all of which could be used to promote the event across global channels. These assets were subsequently distributed by media outlets worldwide.

Results.

The Pearl 15 content we created for Rolls-Royce consistently achieved high-performing metrics across the group’s social media channels. During the launch event and the subsequent EBACE airshow, the Pearl 15 content outperformed all other content on the website and social media during that reporting period.

One standout asset we created was a time-lapse video of the Pearl 15 engine assembly at the manufacturing plant in Dahlewitz, Germany. This video surpassed our expectations in terms of metrics on Facebook.

Brand Recognition.

Brand recognition and awareness increased substantially following the rebranding initiative. Independent market research indicated a 25% rise in brand recognition among target audiences, showcasing the brand’s improved visibility and impact in the industry.
